Our very first UCC Member Spotlight is Laura Matheson!
Upper Canada Chapter member Laura is a commercial pilot working towards her instructor and multi-engine IFR ratings.
Laura is the Events Coordinator for Elevate Aviation’s Ontario Wing, the Vice-President of COPA Flight 8 in Ottawa and is on the board of the Webster Memorial Cup Competition. Recently, she was a recipient of an advanced flight-training bursary from Elevate Aviation.
On her own time, she is also the host, writer, and researcher of the Holding Short Podcast, an aviation podcast promoting diversity in aviation with regards to both people and the roles they hold.
Her dream job in aviation is to work as an Accident Investigator with the Transportation Safety Board.
